ACTION: Thank the Media and Encourage Them to Cover Upcoming Events for Women Stand Up and the Heritage Foundation

The Issue

International gender-critical events are happening in Washington, D.C., next weekend and the media has a responsibility to cover them. WOMEN STAND UP! is a panel presentation of women (all left-leaning) who will be speaking out about the silencing of women in social media and the mainstream media at a to-be-disclosed location on Sunday January 27th. The Inequality of the Equality Act: Concerns from the Left is a panel presentation to be held at the Heritage Foundation on Monday January 28th and presents an opportunity for an honest discussion about the concerns that many left-leaning people have about “gender identity” ideology. It is highly unusual for the Heritage Foundation to be presenting an all-left panel and members of the media should take note and
cover it.

What You Can Do

Email members of the media. Tell them to cover these important and highly unusual (and newsworthy) events.

Dear Media,

First, thank you to those of you who are engaging in an honest conversation about “gender identity” ideology and the legitimate concerns that many people have about what is happening, especially to women and children, on this issue.

International gender-critical events are happening in Washington, D.C., next weekend and I would encourage you to cover them. Women from the UK are flying in to participate in WOMEN STAND UP!, a panel presentation of women (feminists, human rights activists, mothers, journalists) who will be speaking out about the silencing of women in social media and the mainstream media at a to-be-disclosed location on Sunday January 27th. The Inequality of the Equality Act: Concerns from the Left is a panel presentation to be held at the Heritage Foundation on Monday January 28th and presents an opportunity for an honest discussion about the concerns that many progressive, left-leaning people have about “gender identity” ideology. Two factors distinguish this event: First, one of the panelists is a man who presented as a woman for twelve years and secondly it is highly unusual for the Heritage Foundation to be presenting an all-left-leaning panel. I would encourage you to take note and cover it.

“Gender identity” ideology is not grounded in material reality. It is a belief system adopted by some, similar to a religion, but need not be accepted as fact. Insisting that “gender identity” is innate and demanding that people use particular pronouns based on “gender identity” constitutes thought-policing.

In addition, human beings are sexually dimorphic mammals. This statement is neither conservative nor bigoted. It is simply an assertion that is grounded in material reality.

Today, children are being taught that they can change their sex, or that they can have a “gender identity.” They are frequently encouraged to take life-changing hormones (many of which cause permanent sterility and disease) and get surgery to change their reproductive organs. This constitutes child abuse.

There are many people on the political left who have grave concerns about “gender identity” ideology, but who are being silenced in the media, in the courts, and in the legislatures. Please address this. Please engage in a frank conversation with your readers about the harms that “gender identity” is causing for society.
